The Happy Clown Restaurant is one of those places only the city residents really know exist. Almost hidden in the countryside around Noale, it has just a few regulars. It is said it had been a popular place once - especially for families - but it has lost all of its glory - together with most of its colorful painting - long ago. Now it's just a sad relic of a past made up of little local stores and family trips in the countryside.
But when the sun sets, The Happy Clown turns into something else entirely.
The actual restaurant closes at 22:00 pm, and it is then that the true customers arrive. Kindred are welcome here at any hour past the closure, and though no official Elysium, everyone tends to act like it is. There is no single human inside after 22:00 pm but one - the owner. No one knows his name: everyone simply calls him "Buddy". He doesn't seem to do much other then warmly welcome Kindred inside - and clean the occasional blood. He usually dresses like a clown, but his clothes are evidently old and ruined, with the red that is now just a pale orange and the green a indistinct shade of blue. Kindred never saw Buddy without make-up, so it's widely discussed if there have been several "Buddies" or he is simply a ghoul. No one never asked. Or cared. It's just part of the furniture - old and in a sort of sluggish neverending decay.
